In Compliance of the directives of the Ministry
of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the CBSE will be conducting the Eleventh
All India Engineering/Architecture
Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Offline Examination on 29th April, 2012 (Sunday)
and Online Examination for B.E./.B.Tech. only from 7th May to 26th May,
2012 for admission to degree level courses
in Engineering and Architecture in National Institute of Technologies
(NITs), Indian Institute of Information Technologies
(IIITs), Centrally funded Institutions, Deemed Universities and Institutions in
States/UTs (Other than those covered by Joint Entrance Examination) State Level
Entrance Examination. List of participated
Institutions in CCB (AIEEE 2011) counseling will be available on Central Counseling
Board (CCB) website www.ccb.nic.in in due course.

REMARKS :
Candidates who wish to appear in B.Arch /
B.Planning courses in the above cities they
should submit their single form and their
examination center will be allotted in the
same city for B.Arch/B.Planning Exam. However,
online examination for B.E/B.Tech will be held between 07-05-2012 to 26-05-2012
and offline examination for B.Arch/B.Planning will be held on 29th April 2012 in
the above examination cities from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.
All the information regarding conducting
of on-line examination will be placed from time to time on CBSE and AIEEE websites.
The candidates are advised to visit regularly CBSE and AIEEE websites to update
themselves.
4. Medium of Examination
: English and Bi-lingual (English and Hindi Both).
5. Eligibility
The minimum academic qualification for appearing
in AIEEE 2012 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2
(Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent
examination may also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.
Candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII)
in 2013 or passed in 2009 or before are not eligible to appear in
AIEEE 2012.
6. Date of Birth :
Only those candidates whose date of birth
falls on or after October 01,1987 are eligible. However in case of
Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Persons
With Disability candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby
candidates born on or after October 01,1982 are eligible.

The candidates have to pay 2% additional
fee in addition to examination fees + service tax as applicable for remittance of
fees through debit / credit card.
NOTE : Candidates appearing for B.E./B.Tech
or B.Arch/B. Planning or both BE/B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Planning together should send
their fee either through Debit/Credit Cards or in the form of Demand Draft in favour
of SECRETARY, CBSE PAYABLE AT DELHI/NEW DELHI only. Demand draft payable other than Delhi/New Delhi
will not be accepted and their candidature will be rejected.
8. Reservation –
Reservation for OBC & SC/ST and Persons
with Disabilities will be applicable as per the
Government of India/States concerned existing
rules or as amended from time to time.
9.Last Date
The last date for Online Registration is
31.12.2011, however receipt of confirmation page duly completed
in CBSE will be 05.01.2012 by Registered/Speed
Post only and not in person/courier. Use of address of any coaching institute is
strictly prohibited. If anybody uses the address of any coaching institute his/her
application form i.e. confirmation page will be rejected.
10. Submission
of application (Application will be submitted online only)
The online submission of particulars may
be made at AIEEE website http://www.aieee.nic.in
from 15th Nov 2011 , 11.00 AM to 31st Dec 2011. The candidates should supply
all the required details while filling up the online
form. On submission of details,
a Confirmation page with Registration
No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout
of Confirmation page and paste photographs, put left hand thumb impression, sign
in the space earmarked for the purpose and write down the Residential Address. The
confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed Post to CBSE and payment can
be
made as follows:
(a) by credit/debit card, or
(b) Demand draft from any scheduled Nationalised bank.

addition to Examinations Fee, Service/Processing Charges will have

IMPORTANT – Before applying online all the
candidates are advised to read following carefully ;
(i)The
candidate should confirm about the course for which he/she wants to apply, mode
of examination (offline or online), category and city of examination centre. The
cities for offline examination and online examinations are different (please see
the examination city centre list as given above).
(ii) The
candidate should go through the fee structure and decide the mode of payment through
which he/she wants to make payment i.e. Bank Draft or Debit/Credit cards.
(iii) In
case the candidate desires to deposit examination fees through Demand Draft, he/she
should get the same prepared in favour of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi/New
Delhi as per fee structure of the examination.
(iv) The
candidate should fill the correct particulars of the Bank Draft against the column
in the online application form and indicate his/her registration no, name and correspondence
address as mentioned in the application form on the back side of the Bank Draft
and send the same along with the confirmation page to this office.
(v)Request
for change/correction in any
particulars in the Application Form shall
not be entertained under any circumstances. The
Board will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of non-acceptance
of any correction/addition/deletion in any particular once filled in the application
form whatsoever the reasons may be.
(vi) Incomplete
Confirmation Pages having over-writing, shall be rejected.
(vii) The
confirmation page along with the Bank Draft (if the fee is being paid through Bank
Draft)
is to be sent on the following address by
Registered/Speed post only.

11. Facilitation
Centers -
In order to give opportunity to aspirants
to apply from any where, the Board has introduced total online application submission
for AIEEE 2012. In order to further facilitate the candidates who may not be well
conversant with online submission process, facilitation centres to submit the application
online, help centers as per list given below will be available. Candidates may utilize
the facilities of these facilitation centres after visiting there. These centres
have been advised to help candidates fill up their applications forms free of cost.

Applicants have the option to write the entrance exams in either Hindi or English. The language for writing the exam must be mentioned in the admission form. The option cannot be changed afterwards. But those who have opted for the Hindi paper will get the question paper in both Hindi as well as English.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification needed by one to appear for the AIEEE is a pass in standard 10+2. Students of the general category must have above 50 percent marks and applicants of the reserved communities must have above 40 percent marks in their finals. Students who are going to appear for their finals are eligible to apply for the AIEEE exam too.

Model question papers of the preceding years can be got from all leading book stores. Sometimes, guide books one buy will contain a few question papers. Besides this, one can always search the internet and download question papers. Numerous sites will provide one with these papers.

The best thing a student can do when preparing for the AIEEE Entrance Exam is to start from the beginning. As there is a lot to be covered, it does take time and a lot of concentration to get through all the portions. Students can enroll themselves there or study by themselves. It is recommended for students to study with some coaching centres as they will be able to get more familiar with all the portions without too much difficulty. Those who wish to study by themselves can purchase the guide books and start preparing.

Expected sectional cutoffs
Given below is the sectional AIEEE cut off’s for the year 2010:
- Students who get 380 and above marks will get a rank in between 1-10 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 350 – 379 marks will get ranked amongst 11-100 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 325 – 349 marks will get ranked amongst 101-500 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 300 – 324 marks will get ranked amongst 500-1000 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 280 – 299 marks will get ranked amongst 1000-2000 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 250 -279 marks will get ranked amongst 2000-5000 positions.
- Students who get marks in between 220 – 249 marks shall get positioned amongst 5000-10000 ranks.
- Students who get marks in between 195 – 219 marks shall be placed amongst 10000-20000 ranks.
- Students who get marks in between 175 – 194 marks shall be placed amongst 20000-30000 ranks.
- Students who get marks in between 160 – 174 marks shall get ranked amongst 30000-40000.
- Students who get marks in between 147 – 159 marks will be placed amongst40000-50000 ranks.
- Students who get marks in between 125 – 146 marks shall be placed amongst 50000-75000 ranks.
- Students who get marks in between 108 – 124 marks shall be placed amongst 50000-100000 positions.
- Students who get marks a few as 108 shall be placed amongst the above 100000 category.
The AIEEE score can only be used to gain admission into the current year of admission.
